Mainz Rally 2023

Created: 13 October 2023 Written by EMADOM

Four groups of the 10th Generation started the Mainz Rally around noon. We (Leonie (DT),Emilia (PL), Aleksa (ME) and Eske (DT)) started at Schillerplatz. We imitated famous Mainzer statues, went up the Kupferbergterrasse to have a proper view over the city and found out what animals live by the St. Stephan church.
Fun fact: the church takes care of bees and has windows designed by Marc Chagall. From there we went through the roman theater, an ancient site close to the train station, which used to contain more than 10.000 visitors at once!

Afterwards we went down to the Rhine to have a look at Wiesbaden. Ending our trip at the Market square we tried to find out what is written on the stone-memorial, representing printing stones used to print books like Johannes Gutenberg did in earlier centuries. From there we made our way to the famous so-called Marktfrühstück. Everyone comes together to drink wine and eat some snacks.

Thanks to EMA DOM to organise this beautiful and funny event and thanks for the wine, chocolate, coffee and ice creme voucher. We will think of you when eating ice creme!
