Dijon Semester 2023/24
The semester started very sunny, and France showed us its glory of late summer vibes. We explored the city, went out for Brunch, and tried to find our way into the French university system. To explore the city EMA-DOM organised a wonderful city Rally for us! Quelle coïncidence, that Emilia and I were again on the winner's team! Dijon has lots to offer, especially free goodies for internationals and newbies like us. Now the whole Europa-Master walks around with fancy Dijon-Todbags!
The uni-system is very different from what we have experienced in one year of Europa-Master. We have a schedule, but it does not appear to be correct once or twice. Having all classes in French is a tough challenge for us non-natives, but we are lucky, that within the Master the French native speakers help us with their notes. Besides the chaos it starts to get better and our french is also improving!
On the otherside, the university offers many sport courses and activities like a Hola-Colour-Run or a Fest-Danse. While many Europa Master students participated in the colour run, the girls of the semester decided to give the Fest-Danse a shot. It was very fun to dance random line dances, and circle-partner dances and we met a whole bunch of different students from around the world!
Next to stress with registrations, language barriers, chaos of schedule, and other random things that are happening, we try to keep a smile and enjoy our last semester all together. Time flies!
