Talking about Europe - students of the 8th generation participated in a European project

 Vive l'Europe - Es lebe Europa!

When Germans and French meet - it's usually about Europe. After all, two founding states have a lot to say to each other and are well aware of the political and social achievements, insights and challenges that the European Union brings with it. The two partner regions Rhineland-Palatinate and Burgundy-Franche-Comté talked about the future of Europe within the framework of a large-scale project, sponsored among others by the European Union. The participants were made up of citizens from both regions. The project started in Dijon in October 2021 and brought together 20 citizens of all ages, from all parts of the country and of all genders from Rhineland-Palatinate and Burgundy-Franche-Comté to discuss Europe and its future. It was the first citizens' dialogue between a French region and a German state.
Much more interesting for the students of the Europa Masters was the meeting of the second part of the Citizens' Dialogue in Mainz. A total of seven students from the 8th generation took part in the second part of the Citizens' Dialogue in Mainz, in the halls of the Mainz Parliament, showing a strong presence of our course. Of course, seven of us were the group of experts par excellence. At round tables between German and French participants we contributed our ideas on the topics of climate change, education, European identity, war in Ukraine, European values, mobility and much more.
