Diplomatorium 9th Generation

Created: 05 June 2024 Written by EMADOM

From early on, Europa Master students know what they are studying for:

the Diplomatorium. Two years after we attended the diploma award ceremony of the 6th and 7th generation – just a few months after our arrival in Opole in 2021 – it was finally time for us, the students of the 9th generation, to be in the centre of attention. A snowy and frosty Opole welcomed us and our families back to where it all began. On the first evening, we gathered at the Christmas market to share stories and present our parents and siblings to each other – at least those who didn’t know each other already.

The big day started with the actual ceremony in the Collegium Civitas which included the singing of anthems, the handing over of the diplomas and several speeches. We were delighted to see students from the 11th generation attend the event as well, who would join us again later for the more informal part of the celebrations. But first, EMA-DOM had organised a reception with drinks and snacks which provided an opportunity for further conversation. In the evening, our families and we went out for dinner in the same restaurant that the University of Opole had invited us to on our first day of the Master’s. What a way to close the circle!
